Director of Finance – Full-Time Position – Raleigh Location

Raleigh Orthopaedic is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to provide financial leadership and oversee the organization’s financial operations. This role is responsible for financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and profitability initiatives. The Director of Finance works closely with executive leadership and department leaders to support strategic decision-making and the organization’s long-term financial stability and growth.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting required; graduate degree preferred
  • Accounting/Financial licenses or certifications required
  • Proficiency with financial planning and analysis software and advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, fiscal policy, and investment regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across departments and levels of seniority
  • Organized self-starter with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to multitask

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • Manage direct reports and lead a growing finance team
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
  • Oversee accounting functions, including payroll, taxes, compliance, and year-end close
  • Develop strategies to increase profitability, return on investment, and financial stability
  • Collaborate with executives and directors to develop budgets and track key performance indicators
  • Analyze financial trends and risks related to investment and spending decisions
  • Prepare financial information for the CPA, including year-end financials and Form 5500 reporting
  • Assist the CEO with special projects and communicate the organization’s financial stability, liquidity, and growth
  • Prepare annual AAOE and OrthoForum benchmarking surveys
