Radiologic Technologist – Urgent Care

Radiologic Technologist – Urgent Care – Full-Time Position – Garner Location

We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Radiologic Technologist with experience in orthopaedic imaging to join our Orthopaedic Urgent Care team. This role specializes in obtaining high-quality diagnostic images that assist our orthopaedic providers in delivering precise, effective care. From sprains to complex fractures, you'll be a critical part of the diagnostic and treatment journey for patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging (X-rays) specific to orthopaedic protocols and positioning
  • Collaborate with physicians to capture detailed views of musculoskeletal structures for accurate assessment
  • Ensure appropriate imaging techniques based on patient condition, age, and mobility
  • Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment for optimal performance and image clarity
  • Practice strict adherence to radiation safety guidelines for patients and staff
  • Ensure proper documentation, image storage, and EMR integration
  • Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients during imaging procedures
  • Assist clinical staff in supporting patient flow and optimizing room turnover as needed

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT certification and valid state Radiologic Technologist license (as applicable)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of radiologic experience; orthopaedic imaging experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in PACS and digital radiography systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, professional demeanor
  • Ability to adapt to varied patient needs, including pediatric and post-surgical cases

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical guidelines include ability to be exposed to minimal radiation, stand/walk for up to eight hours/day, bend, stoop, twist, assist patients in turning, assist patient in arising from exam table, push wheelchair patients, and assist patient in arising from and returning to wheelchair.
  • Physical requirements also include repetitive lifting of objects weighing up to 11 pounds with occasional lifting to 30 pounds.

Schedule:

  • Full-time; includes a rotating schedule of two 12-hour shifts every other weekend

Compensation:

  • $24.50–32.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
