Practice Manager – Clinical Operations

Practice Manager – Clinical Operations – Full-Time Position – Raleigh Location

We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager – Clinical Operations to lead the clinical team within a fast-paced orthopedic practice. This role is responsible for optimizing clinic performance, supporting providers, and ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and oversee Medical Assistants and Clinical Assistants, with support from Clinical Leads and a Clinical Coordinator
  • Manage hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff development
  • Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring efficient patient flow and strong provider productivity
  • Develop and manage staffing models and coverage plans across providers and locations
  • Partner with physicians to improve workflows, clinical support, and overall efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator on day-to-day workflow execution, reporting, and process improvements
  • Monitor clinic schedules, patient volumes, and key performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinical policies; maintain audit readiness
  • Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives, including patient satisfaction and throughput
  • Oversee value-based care initiatives, including MIPS performance and reporting
  • Manage clinical budgets, supplies, and cost control efforts
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, providers, and executive leadership
  • Lead team meetings and resolve escalated operational or personnel issues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of healthcare experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership role
  • Orthopedic or specialty practice experience strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership, operational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and EMR systems

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced clinical setting
  • Frequent collaboration with staff, providers, and leadership
  • Travel between clinic locations required
